OSRS Failed To Login Fix

The MMORPG Old School RuneScape is still going strong after its release in 2013. Occasionally though, there are issues related to connection, launcher or you might even encounter the failed to login error in OSRS. This is a recurring issue over the years, although, the reasons behind it might be different each time.

Can’t Login to OSRS Fix

• Check if Runescape servers are down – If that’s the case, you will need to wait until the servers are back up online and running without hiccups. Players can head over to downdetector to see if there are any outages reported in the last few hours.
• Log out and log back in – This seems to have worked for a few players and worth trying.

Runescape has a dedicated page that informs players about planned downtime, routine maintenance and live game issues. Head over there and find out if there are any issues currently.

There might be more issues mentioned along with the current status – it might be under ‘investigating’, ‘ongoing’, or ‘hotfix deployed.’

Regarding the cause of the error – it could occur due to external factors or there’s a chance that an update led to some bugs in the game which might even lead to crashing. Many suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the game and clearing the cache but that doesn’t seem to work for everyone.
