Does iPhone 14 Have A Sim Card Tray?
Let’s get this straight. Apple’s New iPhone 14 Models do not come with a Physical Card tray in the US. Hence, you cannot use Physical Sim Card like before if you stay in the US, rather they use eSim. Although for the rest of the world, iPhone 14 and all its variants support two eSIM cards and a physical SIM card slot as well.
What is eSIM?
eSIM i.e., Embedded SIM is a Sim-like chip integrated into your device’s hardware and cannot be removed It is programmable and works just like a traditional Sim. Being pre-installed in the device, it is much easier to change operators. You can do it by simply installing the “eSIM profile” of a new carrier.

So if got your iPhone 14 from outside the US. you most probably have the physical Sim slot as mentioned earlier. We can find the SIM tray on the left-hand side of the phone (as shown in the above image) for these models:

How to insert the Sim card on iPhone 14?
To open the SIM tray:
- Insert a paper clip or a SIM-eject tool, which is provided in the box, into the hole beside the tray.
- Gently Push in, towards your iPhone, without forcing.
Now that the sim tray is slightly popped, you can proceed to remove it from the iPhone.
To insert the Sim in the Sim card tray:
- Once the tray is removed, look for the notch in one corner of the new SIM card, and place the new SIM card into the tray (it only fits one way because of the notch).
- Insert the tray back into the device completely and in the same orientation that you removed it. (note-the tray only fits one way)
If your sim card is activated by the operator you will see network strength and now your device is ready to use.
