Update Menu on the Play Store

To update apps on Android you can use the auto-update feature or manually update apps. You can even set apps to update automatically with each update release on the Play Store.

Updating Apps Manually or All at Once

  • Open Play Store on your Android device.
  • Tap on the Google Account profile image on the top right.
  • Select Manage Apps and Device from the Play Store Options.
  • Choose the Updates Available option and all apps with pending updates will appear.
  • Update each app one by one or simply Update All at once.

Set All Apps to Update Automatically

  • Launch Play Store again.
  • Click on your account profile for Play Store options.
  • Select Settings.
  • Tap on Network Preferences next.
  • Select Auto-update Apps and choose the network type over which you want apps to update automatically (recommended Over Wi-Fi).

Enable Auto Update for Specific Apps

  • Go to Play Store.
  • Select an app priority-wise that needs definite automatic updation.
  • On the selected App’s page, tap the Options (3 Vertical Dots) in the upper right.
  • Check to mark the Enable Auto-Update option.

Note that if you update Apps via third-party developers or download update packages and APKs then malware risks grow heavily. Precautions must be taken to keep your device secured.
