EA SPORTS FC 24 was released on September 29, 2023 on all platforms and now, the game gets a 50% discount during the Steam Autumn Sale 2023 with a price tag of $34.99 (US Dollar). So if you were unsure about buying it at its full price, this is the best possible discounted price that may be available for a brand new offering by EA. Why does it have such a heavy discount so early on in its lifespan? The dwindling player count most likely has played a role. Stats on SteamDB show a 24-hour peak of 38K players, an all-time peak of 82K players, and at the time of writing this article, 19.5K people were currently playing. This isn’t terrible, but it possibly doesn’t reach the projections by EA for this powerful franchise. The title currently sits at the 34th position in the overall most-played games on Steam.

Apart from Steam, the soccer game also got a huge Black Friday discount where the price went from $70 to $30 at Amazon and Best Buy for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One.

As for the reviews for EA SPORTS FC 24, they have been mixed. Players mention poor optimization for PC, freezing issues, and microtransactions with some even calling it a FIFA 23 DLC on Metacritic.

The Metacritic reviews for EA Sports FC 24 (PS5) have generally favorable critic reviews with a score of 75 and the user score is ‘generally unfavorable’ based on 494 user ratings with a score of 2.5.

In comparison, the previous game in the franchise (FIFA 23) had a critic score of 76 and a user score of 3.0. FIFA 22 had a critic score of 78 and a user score of 3.0.
