iPhone And Mac’s Games Of The Year 2023 Are Not Surprising
Two games from vastly different genres take the win this year.
Two games have come out on top at the App Store Awards 2023, and they are highly deserved titles. On November 29, Apple revealed that Honkai: Star Rail is the Game of the Year for iPhone and Lies of P for Mac. Both of these games have achieved great success since launch.
Honkai: Star Rail is currently #2 in role playing on the App Store with ratings of 4.6/5 and an Editors’ Choice tag. If you haven’t given it a shot yet, now is the time to do so!
HSR is a space fantasy RPG by Hoyoverse, the devs of another record-breaking game on mobile, Genshin Impact. It has turn-based combat, with elements of open-world, dungeons, and a Gacha system for players to unlock new characters, Light Cones, and more.
Meanwhile, Lies of P, which is heavily inspired by FromSoftware’s games, is developed and published by Neowiz Games. Loosely based on the novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi., this game was a success. It sold one million units by October 2023 (it released on September 19, 2023). On Steam, it has ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ reviews which is a great feat.
