Elden Ring DLC Trailer To Be Shown At The Game Awards 2023?
Announcements and reveals could be coming sooner than you think!
After the groundbreaking success of Elden Ring, players are now hungry for the next step in the roadmap of the game – the highly anticipated Elden Ring DLC named Shadow of the Erdtree. Not much is known about this expansion after its initial announcement on Feb 28, 2023 but speculations point towards a release in February 2024, which is when Elden Ring turns two years old.
As spotted by Elden Ring Youtuber @Ziostorm1 on Twitter, there have been some SteamDB updates recently which could potentially point towards an announcement for the Elden Ring DLC.
Here’s the tweet in question:
[bs-quote quote=”Yes, I am going insane as TGA approaches with the possibility of an Elden Ring DLC trailer, and as a symptom of that insanity, I noticed that SteamDB has passed the pattern of a normal update.
We could be getting a content drop of some kind soon, but the pattern is not perfect.” style=”default” align=”center” color=”” author_name=”” author_job=”” author_avatar=”” author_link=””][/bs-quote]
As you can see in the image, under Branches, there have been updates 15 days ago under dev-debug, dev-release, development, qa-debug, and qa-release.
Take this with a grain of salt because it could simply be a normal update unrelated to the DLC.
However, many Redditors felt like this does have something to do with Shadow of the Erdtree. u/Dramatic_Sprinkles17 comments “I mean, I would be shocked if it wasn’t at the game awards with a spring release” and u/doghosta speculates that it’s “perhaps a 2 years anniversary release?”
u/HahaLookyhere guesstimates that Elden Ring DLC may be coming out in Feb 2024 with a trailer at TGA 2023. Another user comments, “Don’t forget that the game awards take place on December 7th, and oh my, what a perfect spot that would be to drop a new trailer for Shadow of The Erdtree!!! Remember that the steam page for Dragon’s Dogma 2 got an early refresh the same day Capcom smacked us in the face with the release date.”
This time last year on December 7th, 2022, FromSoftware released a free DLC update called Colosseum, so these speculations don’t seem too far off. We will keep you updated with any latest happenings right here on Gaming Inbox.
