Player Reveals Shocking Number Of Portable Consoles They Use
How much is too much?
If you spend a long time commuting to and from your workplace, having a portable console will surely help you kill time, while having loads of fun. Most of us have one or two portable gaming devices, but a Reddit user has revealed their collection of portable consoles which is pretty surprising.
In a post shared by u/kingck (which garnered 11.9K+ upvotes and 1.5K comments), the user showed all their handheld devices ranging from Nintendo Switches to Steam Decks. Yes, multiple.
Here’s the list of items shown in the picture (with a guess from my end marked with an asterisk):
- Razer Blade laptop*
- Steam Deck
- Steam Deck OLED
- Lenovo Legion Go
- Nintendo Switch
- Nintendo Switch Lite
- Nvidia Shield
- Retroid Pocket 2
- BITTBOY PocketGo
- New Nintendo 3DS XL
- Nintendo Switch Lite – Zacian & Zamazenta Limited Edition
- ASUS ZenScreen
- iPad mini + Apple Pencil
- Keyboard (Not sure of the brand)
- Logitech G502 X Mouse*
A comment from u/jimkelly mentions that the “whole pile is like $4000 dollars worth of stuff unless the laptop is worth more than I’m thinking.”
When asked about having multiple versions of a console, the OP replied:
[bs-quote quote=”New oled and has the LCD for a while, the switches are just from collecting both lites are the pokemon limited edition ones (one\’s modded the other is stock).” style=”default” align=”center” color=”” author_name=”” author_job=”” author_avatar=”” author_link=””][/bs-quote]
This post also drew some criticism because of opinions that buying every version of a console is a waste of money. Moreover, OP’s title said “A few of my portable consoles I use while traveling for work” and this, certainly, isn’t a few, which is how many Redditors reacted as well.
Plus, the title’s wording indicated that OP carries each of these consoles during every trip, but they’ve clarified that they switch between the ones they want based on “trip length and type of games.”

Would you keep buying newer versions of the same console or would you stick to one good purchase? Is owning multiple versions a flex? Let us know in the comments!
