Ubisoft Game Gets A 30% Discount Soon After Release
Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora gets a slashed price in less than two weeks since its release.
Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora released on December 7, 2023 but it is already listed at around 30% discount, slashing its price from $70 USD to $50 USD. This is the discount offered by Target, Best Buy and Amazon. So, if you were planning to get the physical copies of the game but were holding back due to its original price, now is the best time to buy it (this offer may expire as 2024 rolls in). Note that this is only for console versions – if you play on PC, the price stays $70 for now.
This title has received ‘Mixed or Average’ reviews by Critics and Generally Favorable user ratings on Metacritic with a score of 72 and 8.0 respectively. While it’s a nice game that’s faithful to its source material, fans who have played Far Cry are finding too many similarities in terms of gameplay. Reviews say that the characters were not memorable and the combat was repetitive. If you’ve recently played Far Cry games, a sort of fatigue may set in.
The graphics and navigation systems are stellar, though, and have received rave reviews across the board. If you are a hardcore fan of the Avatar series, you should not miss out on this game because it is immersive.
However, it’s not really commonplace to see a $70 game get a slashed price so early on in its lifespan. It could be that they are trying to make the most of the holiday season to get as many sales as possible, or it could mean that the sales numbers with the original price aren’t hitting the targets for the devs yet. At the time of writing, the copies are temporarily out of stock on Amazon, so clearly, the demand is there.
If you are not planning on getting the physical copies, don’t forget that Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora is available if you have a subscription to Ubisoft Plus.
