How to Connect to a Soulmask Server
Find out how to join the server in Soulmask and what you can do if you’re unable to enter a private multiplayer server as well.
If you’ve purchased a private server to play Soulmask with friends, you need to know how to connect to it. The steps may differ based on which hosting platform you’ve chosen, but in general, here’s how to join it in a few simple steps.
How to Connect to a Soulmask Server
- Select the server you want to manage. This can be done on the platform’s control panel.
- Wait for the server to be online. Once you see a green dot on the screen, you’re ready to go.
- Copy the IP address shown under the Server info. It typically looks like a series of numbers separated by a colon (‘:’).
- Load up Soulmask.
- Click on Online Game from the main menu.
- Then, click on the “Connect to the Server Directly” button at the bottom of the screen.
- Paste the IP and Port in the pop-up that appears. The Port will be the number at the end of the IP address, cut and paste it separately.
- If you’ve set a password on the hosting platform, add it in the window as well.
- Click on Confirm.
- This will load up the private server and you can join friends to play Soulmask together.
While less recommended due to limited filtering options, you can also try finding the server through the in-game community server list.
Here’s how to get to them:
- Launch Soulmask.
- Click on “Online Game” in the main menu.
- Browse the server list and find the server you’re looking for by name or IP address (if you know it).
Unable to Join the Soulmask Private Server? Try these Steps
- A simple restart of your computer and the Soulmask game can sometimes resolve temporary glitches.
- If you’re having trouble connecting, check the firewall settings to ensure it’s not blocking incoming connections.
- Confirm that the private server is actually online and running. If it’s shut down, you won’t be able to connect. If you’re not the host, try contacting the server host to confirm its status.
- Sometimes, a version difference between your Soulmask client and the server can cause connection issues. Ensure you have the latest update for Soulmask downloaded and installed.
- Double-check the server IP address, port number, and password (if applicable) you’re entering. Make sure they match exactly what the server host provided.
- Verify the game files on Steam to fix any corrupted files that might be causing connection problems.
